4.1 When
pit stops are made, drivers must use Auto-Chat Message to announce you're
planning to pit. Drivers will move low and out of the racing groove before
slowing to insure safety on the track. (-5)
4.1.1 Track specific pitting entrance and exit guidelines
will be posted in pre race notes on message board or discussed in pre
race chat.
4.2 Cars that are pitting and cause a wreck will be
penalized for not doing so in a safe manner. (-15)
4.3 Drivers are not allowed to use reverse on the track
if they miss pit entrance. (-15)
4.4 Drivers will stay in the lane farthest from the
pit stalls on pit road, until reaching their pit stall. At this point,
they can turn and enter their pit stall. (-15)
4.5 You should avoid traveling through other drivers
pits stalls to the maximum extent possible. (-5)
4.6 When exiting the pit stall, drivers must announce
with Auto-Chat Message their intent to pull out. Drivers should flash
the Auto-Chat Message as the right side tires are being changed.
4.7 Drivers must check mirror and F2 Screen before leaving
pit stall to avoid collisions with other drivers on pit road. When safe,
drivers will move to the farthest lane from pit stalls as quickly as possible and remain in that
lane until exiting pit road. NOTE: This is because of lack of pit
road width on many tracks and gives no room for a car pulling out of pit
box. (-15)
4.8 Drivers should not pass another driver on pit road
while getting to their pit box.
4.9 No faking pit stops or driving through grass to
enter pits. If a driver changes his mind and wants to stay out to lead
a lap, they can do so but cannot drive through grass. (-5)
4.10 TEN LAP RULE: If caution comes out with 10 or fewer
laps remaining in the race, all lapped cars must pit on second caution
lap and take at least two right side tires. Ten or fewer laps means the
lead driver has already taken the ten to go and your spotter has said
10 laps to go. This means you will have to pit if not on the lead lap.
